Kindred Permissions & Trusted Access Policy

Life is rarely lived alone.

Kindred is designed to help you stay connected with the people you trust while ensuring that your privacy, independence, and personal choices always remain at the center of the experience.

Every relationship is different. Some people simply want to share everyday moments. Others may lend a hand with selected reminders, appointments, or trusted context. Kulohi allows each Member to decide who can help, what they can access, and when that access applies.

Being invited into someone’s Kindred space is a privilege built on trust, not a transfer of ownership.

Kulohi is operated by Gremlin Labs LLC, doing business as Kulohi.

The Member is the person whose Kulohi account, stories, memories, conversations, and preferences are being supported.

Unless otherwise required by law or authorized through the Member’s recorded preferences, the Member remains in control of their account.

Kindred allows a Member to invite trusted people into their Kulohi experience.

Kindred may include:

- Family members - Friends - Caregivers - Legal representatives - Other trusted individuals

The Member decides who is invited and what level of access each person receives.

Kulohi may offer different permission sets for people invited to Kindred. The permissions displayed in the product for a particular invitation control what that person can do.

The plain-language roles below describe common kinds of access. They do not create legal authority, ownership of the Member’s account, or access to information that has not been shared.

A Kindred Member is someone the Member invites into their private social circle.

Depending on the features available and the Member’s choices, a Kindred Member may be able to:

- receive updates shared by the Member; - send messages and encouragement; - share photographs or memories; - participate in shared Kindred conversations; - receive invitations to meaningful shared moments.

Kindred Members do not automatically receive access to account management, Robin conversations, private memories, check-in information, reminders, or settings that have not been shared with them.

A Guide is someone the Member has chosen to lend a hand with selected practical tasks. Guides can contribute within their existing permissions; they cannot control the Member’s account.

Depending on the features available and the Member’s choices, a Guide may be able to:

- help with permitted non-medical reminders; - view permitted shared check-in summaries and plans; - receive concern notices where the Member has enabled them; - receive updates the Member has chosen to share; - take part in shared Kindred moments.

Guides do not receive access to private Robin conversations, private memories, account ownership, privacy controls, account controls, or general control over Robin.

A Touchstone is the person the Member trusts to be there when it matters. This is the highest-trust support role, not the person in charge of the Member.

Depending on the features available and the Member’s choices, a Touchstone may be able to:

- add trusted factual context that can help Robin understand important people, dates, routines, and preferences; - help with permitted non-medical reminders and plans; - view permitted shared check-in summaries; - receive concern notices where the Member has enabled them; - take part in shared Kindred moments.

Being a Touchstone does not make someone the Member’s legal representative and does not provide access to private Robin conversations, private memories, account controls, privacy settings, or the Member’s account credentials.

Conversations with Robin are personal.

Robin conversations remain private unless the Member has specifically chosen to share eligible content through an available, separate Kulohi sharing action.

No Kindred role automatically provides access to Robin conversations.

The Member decides which Life Stories, photographs, recordings, and memories are shared with Kindred members.

Some content may remain completely private.

Other content may be shared with selected people according to the Member’s preferences.

Kindred invitations are sent only at the request of the Member or another authorized individual acting on their behalf where permitted.

Invited individuals may choose whether to accept participation in Kindred.

Kulohi may require identity verification before granting certain permission levels.

Relationships change over time.

The Member is encouraged to periodically review their Kindred members and update permissions whenever appropriate.

Permission changes are intended to take effect after they are successfully saved within Kulohi. Technical delays may occasionally occur.

The Member may remove Kindred members at any time unless restricted by applicable law or an active legal process.

Once removal is completed, the former Kindred member should no longer receive access through that invitation to future shared content or features.

Removal does not automatically delete information that was previously shared with that individual outside of Kulohi.

Kindred works together with the member’s Legacy Preferences.

During a Legacy Transition, Kulohi will make reasonable efforts to follow:

- the Member’s recorded wishes; - designated Legacy Contacts; - applicable law; - authorized documentation.

Kindred permissions do not automatically expand during a Legacy Transition unless doing so aligns with the member’s preferences or legal requirements.

Every Kindred member deserves privacy and respect.

Likewise, every Member deserves confidence that their personal conversations and memories will only be shared according to their choices.

Kulohi is designed so that trust is earned through transparency, not assumptions.

People close to a member may occasionally disagree about access to memories, Legacy Features, or account management.

When disagreements occur, Kulohi will make reasonable efforts to follow:

1. the Member’s recorded preferences;
2. applicable law;
3. valid legal authority;
4. the responsibility to protect the member’s privacy, dignity, and wishes.

Kulohi may decline requests where authority cannot be reasonably established.

As Kulohi grows, additional Kindred capabilities may become available. Any new capability will be described when it becomes available.

Kindred is guided by these principles:

- member choice; - privacy; - transparency; - thoughtful access; - respect for relationships.

We may update this policy as Kindred evolves.

When significant changes are made, we will update the “Last Updated” date and, where appropriate, provide additional notice.
