Kulohi Policy
Cookie & Tracking Policy
Which cookies and similar technologies Gremlin Labs uses for Kulohi, and how you can manage your preferences.
Your choices
Kulohi uses a small amount of browser storage to keep the site working. Analytics is optional and stays off until you choose to allow it. You can open Cookie preferences from the site’s legal and settings pages to change your choice at any time.
A cookie is a small value saved by a website in your browser. `localStorage` can keep a value after you close the browser; `sessionStorage` generally lasts for one browser tab or session. They are different technologies, but each can remember information on your device. A browser may also keep normal cached files needed to load pages.
2. Necessary storage
Kulohi uses browser storage for your Supabase sign-in session so you can stay signed in and use private features. We use session storage for navigation or invitation handoff details and local storage for limited application preferences and the status link for an account-deletion request. Some shared application screens use a cookie to remember whether a sidebar is open. These uses support the service and cannot be turned off in Kulohi’s choice panel. You can clear site data in your browser, though doing so may sign you out or reset preferences.
We store your cookie and analytics choice in this browser’s local storage under `gremlin_consent_choice`. It records the choice version, that necessary storage is on, whether you allowed analytics, and when you made the choice. It is a browser choice; Kulohi does not attach this anonymous choice to your member account. A future material change can require a new choice. Clearing browser data also clears it.
3. Optional analytics
If you allow analytics, configured PostHog, Mixpanel, or Amplitude tools may receive limited information about visits and feature use, such as page or event names, device/browser information, and an analytics identifier. Which of these providers runs depends on the current environment configuration. The application is designed to exclude private free-text fields such as Robin messages, stories, passwords, and transcripts from analytics events. These providers may use their own browser storage when enabled. We do not turn them on before a valid analytics choice. We do not use this choice to enable advertising cookies or behavioral advertising.
When you choose Only necessary or later turn analytics off, Kulohi stops sending new optional analytics events through its application paths, tells loaded analytics tools to opt out, and clears its application analytics identifiers. Your browser’s Do Not Track setting and Kulohi’s native app restrictions can also keep analytics off. Withdrawal does not necessarily remove data already received by a provider; see the Privacy Policy or contact us about data requests.
4. Other service providers and retention
Cloudflare delivers the website, and Supabase supports authentication and product data. They may process ordinary request and security information independently of optional product analytics. Error and security diagnostics are separate from the optional analytics choice and are described in the Privacy Policy. Authentication information lasts according to your sign-in session and account controls. Session storage normally ends with its browser session; local storage and the sidebar preference remain until cleared, replaced, or removed by the browser or application. Exact provider-side analytics and diagnostic retention periods require provider-account review and are not promised here.
5. Change your choice
Use Cookie preferences on Kulohi’s legal pages or in settings. Necessary storage is always on; Analytics can be turned on or off. If we cannot read or save a valid choice, optional analytics stays off. You can also clear site data in your browser. For privacy questions, contact privacy@kulohi.com.
